Sometimes I think you guys are better friends to me than the people who are supposedly actually my friends. I haven’t seen ANY of them since New Year’s and only two have bothered to do more than like my facebook status or send me a random text or two since then, and one of those was a call bitching me out because I was in Des Moines and didn’t stop by and see her(we were in Des Moines because my mother in law had a heart attack and surgery and were visiting her in the hospital so…. yeah).

The world is a weird one, we’re more connected than ever, you can reach out and touch someone on the other side of the world in seconds, but it is harder than ever to keep regular contact with people in close proximity.

It sounds like your friend was lacking empathy for your situation and I am sorry.

But you have friends in us.

Granted, you stumble along the street one day, a mysterious fog surrounds you and you find yourself at the graveside of a man long buried, as you brush away the dirt and moss to read his name you find the likeness of Nessie engraved into the headstone.

I wish to be rid of my migraines.

So, my favourite TV show is Firefly, as my homeslice Weirdo will confirm.

Want to expand beyond just pure favourite, for anime we’ll go with Fist of the North Star and Trigun, for live action I was raised on all manner of Star Treks.

Hey Dermut, sorry for the delay in information, more will be coming I promise you, I’ll make sure any relevant information is available at least two weeks before the event.

I will contact players individually to let them know they are welcome to join (but if anyone is interested, by all means they can mention it or PM me here) and I will see about getting an RPG channel in the Discord for discussion.

As for the stream itself, there’s no real rules as long as people keep to a decent PG-13 age limit, sex is the biggest no-no on a Twitch stream so as long as no one plans to get frisky, we’re okay.

Otherwise we just have to remember we are representing the TSU and our Charity, so keeping things light and friendly is a real must.

What program will you be using to run the game?

The game will run through Roll20.

And a general update, we have had a volunteer for running the game, someone with experience.

As such the game will be Deadlands Reloaded, I will prod our new DM to give the run down so people can confirm interest.

Just remember that this is all going to be for a good cause.

What would you shoot out of the T-Shirt gun? Would it be TSU T-Shirts or a bunch of propaganda papers or what?

I don’t think you could use it to shoot out propaganda.

Admittedly I do not know 100% the workings of a t-shirt canon, but I don’t think the paper would make a good substitute for the size/mass of the tshirt.

Additionally, you might fall foul of littering laws if it were tried.

The image appears to be embedded in an email and as such we can’t view it.

You need to use something like imgur to host images for forums.

Please do not post your private address on a public forum, it is possible for anyone to read these forums and gain your address.

Safety first, if you want to run something like this Kit, get users to PM you addresses or something that won’t put their safety at risk.

Also, consider how to arrange such a project, by doing something this way it would be possible for someone to send a lot of mail and never receive anything back, additionally I know WRITE were looking into a pen-pal program that has yet to end up going anywhere, consider contacting WRITE to see if you can take over as they may have some groundwork laid out for you (or if that project is still under progress you might not need to organise, but can just take part).

This was a decent idea Kit, but my suggestion is if you plan to do something like this, generally give at least a weeks notice and definitely give more when around Christmas (or other busy times of year).

Additionally make a post to FB about those plans, you’ll find you might get more soldiers who are inactive on the forums, to take note when you do things like this.

Just get a burlap sack and bring her along.

We do not endorse kidnapping or any other illegal activity.

Some people are immune to the effects of Toy Soldier mind control cookies and there is nothing we can do about that.

Where the hell am I going to send this pallet of bricks now?

You put them for sale in the Armour, limited edition TSU bricks, with 30% of the proceeds going to charity.

      Problem solved.

Hey Kit, I have to wonder why you need to put an email on fliers specifically.

I think you’ll have better results if you include the site address and facebook group instead of an email as that allows people to explore what we’re about and choose to interact.

Additionally be sure of your local laws as some places don’t allow just hanging up fliers and even if it is you doing it the TSU would be the ones to blame, you’ll also find a more targeted approach to handing out fliers yields better results (from an objective point of view), so handing them out at fun events, perhaps putting a few (with permission) in gaming and comic stores, etc.

..And be sure to get the Okay from management on forming the division before paying to get patches made up or it won’t get recognised officially.
