Is there some way we could list what regiment people are a part of in their little forum post profile? Kind of like how Yellow Jackets have a little label.

“That’s what I thought!” Flora whispered, trying to keep quiet in spite of her excitement. She was closer to the truth than she’d ever been before, and she knew she could trust Jimmy. “You know, I thought it was all rumor. Stories, ya know? All the disappearences and the attacks and the corruption and the mysteries. Is it… What if it’s all true? All of it? Every last awful– well, I’m in. I want to help.”

Then, the joy of discovery making her bolder, she leaned in closer and asked, “Does this have to do with… you know, them? The Army?”

Will it be at the same time next week? ‘Cause I’d love to join in :)

Flora had thought it was an odd, cruel coincidence that the man she’d been tracking had shared names with one of her old friends from Homestead. The Tommy Jordan she’d known had lived several towns over, passing through her own little town now and then on his way to and from college. And then, one holiday season, he just hadn’t come by. Flora had heard rumors of his demise via terrorist attack.

As she stared closely at this other, familiar looking Tommy Jordan, the connections suddenly seemed obvious.

“Uh… Sure. Sure, sounds great, actually. Thanks.”

Flora pulled back a chair and sat heavily, dropping her things down beside her. It was good to see a friendly face again.

“I actually came here looking for you. Well, not you specifically, but I came here for information. Do you remember Harriet? She was my roommate. Interrogated you about college, I think. She disappeared a few months back.”

Through the pouring rain, Flora finally caught sight of the tiny shop. The sign above the stained windows was, as she had been warned, faded beyond reading, but it was exactly where she’d been told. With a deep sigh of relief, Flora adjusted the straps of her bag on her aching shoulders. Now that she had slowed down, her knees shook with exhaustion, and she realized just how afraid she was. She’d left Homestead for the first time in her life just two months ago, and she’d only last week tracked the rumors down to the center of the Foundation. She’d never seen anything like this place before. Wretched children, homeless mothers, filth and depression. It was indescribably horrifying.

Pulling her ball cap lower down to shield her face from the downpour, Flora ran the final stretch to the shop door. She shoved it open, cringing at the awful squeaking noise, and looked around.

Somehow it was even dimmer inside than out, and Flora had to squint to see him, but when she did, hope like she hadn’t known in months gripped her. She smiled in spite of herself.

      “Tommy Jordan?”

These aren’t anywhere near as fabulous as yours, but I designed a few simple propaganda flyers recently and thought I’d post them here for everyone’s use :)

      YES YES 1,000 TIMES YES!!!

Sounds great! Later today I might start a thread to see who’s interested.

As for this specific type of armor, I’ve looked into foam pieces a bit, and I’ve found lots and lots of 2′ x 2′ sets. For those interested, I found this set of 4 for $18, this set of 12 for $50 (in all sorts of colors, but that can be painted over), and these guys, who sell anywhere from 6 to 50 tiles.

This is so awesome. Maybe we can get a big group of soldiers together interested in making some new uniforms and have a build-a-long? We can make a specific piece each week or month and post pictures and tips.

Hmm. I’m available every afternoon/evening, I just need to convert my time to your time… 23:00 – 6:00 on weekdays (if I got that correct? 4-11 PST) and anytime on weekends, as long as I’m given fair warning :)

I’ll give the playsets a looksee tomorrow, when my eyelids aren’t pulling themselves shut. Thanks for arranging this!

I think you know who made it.

I dunno, it sounds familiar but I’m not quite sure why

“Breezeblocks” by Alt-J (I think that’s their name?) His voice is just so interesting, and I am admittedly a huge sucker for songs about the act of loving murder.

Oh gosh XD Some of those were great. My favorite, I think, simply read “oops”
