This same strange email brought me back.
As of writing this I have yet to reply.
Initial research indicates that the same message has recently been used on other forums, pointing to the same Hotmail address each time.
Examples:Earther Academy (last active about a week ago) and Central Virginia Trailblazers (where in a post about 2 months old titled “Haritta Returns!” the same message was quoted with the comment “… “Alice”, is back …” and it seemed to be treated like a spam report).
I will retain links to these sources for 24 hours in case anyone here wants them.
Red roses bloom
Under the moon
tears of the maiden
at destiny’s loom.
Our world will feel gloom
the beginning is nigh
and beginnings bring doom
see how up high
Riding the winds
In the new dawn
as the present is drawn
and rips at the seams.
Silent the valleys
Hills slumber still
Open plains shimmer
Deep oceans stir
And in the mountains
New endings begin.
Rise to the challenge,
the law of survival
alone can give rights
True to it’s nature
Unending it’s plights
Rage at the cage
Now shrinking tight
Surrender and die,
or suffer trough life.
*Note: the scary part is not supposed to be the “poem” (if it can even be called that) but rather the much shorter message it conveys when looked at differently, along with the fact that it is an emergency signal transmitted on all available channels.
It’s easier to understand if you’ve ever just needed a few moments alone, and had trouble getting it.
No easier to accept, but easier to understand. I recall a time once myself, LARPing, I think, when I needed a few minutes to myself and headed into the darkness. “We’ll come with you!”, as others grabbed their flashlights was not a welcome response. And even if you do get away, it’s hard to find any peace in the darkness with shouts of “Where are you?” and the probing of lights.
I can empathise … and yet … to leave end see nobody notice, to go into the darkness and have nobody try to get you back, or find out why … that seems like it would be much worse.
Having read the project guide I must ask if you are familiar with the Shadowrun universe:
I also felt inspired to write something that felt like something one of the characters would say (the bits represent tone of voice)
“to bring down the system using any means necessary“
So, you admit outright that you would stop at nothing to fulfil your vision, to shape the world in a way that you deem just, no matter how unjust the methods, how cruel the deeds, how great the damage might be needed to do so?
And while doing this you would see yourself as righteous… a force of good to right the world`s wrongs against those who know no better, because … why? Because, perhaps you know better ? Because you have the vision to see what really needs to happen and you have strength to do it “using any means necessary” ?!
An approach as noble as it is new.
The world is indeed broken, and this… this is why! Because of this kind of thinking and self-absorbed attitude!
There is more to doing good than having good intentions, more to change than replacing names and … too many kinds of good that are just different shades of evil,

it’s amazing, but I would prefer not sleeping, that takes much more time…
I mean no offence but i disagree with sleeping being a waste of time, all you need to do is remain lucid and in control and you can do anything ANYTHING!, the Dreamstate(TM) is the most powerful creative and recreational simulation available to date allowing you to experience the world in any way you wish in (almost) complete safety, it`s… like the matrix, but with full admin rights … the possibilities are simply so limitless i cannot even begin to describe them properly
The “downside” of course is that controlling the Dreamstate(TM) takes a bit of effort to master.
P.S. this “Soylent” thing seems like a great substitute for breakfast since you could potentially “eat” it with a straw while walking to work (or a conveniently placed mass transit hub)
apparently no one managed notice the many *notes I left all over the place and the fact that a single story used this, this was the most obvious clue and I am rather surprised no one noticed, especially since noticing the pattern did not require reading the text, this was merely an exercise but in life noticing patterns is a valuable skill that can enable you to notice things that where not intended for you to notice.
and so my identity remains undisclosed and the question remains unanswered….
It is up to you to decide, but it is worth considering that:
1-Revealing the reasoning process may enable others to spot flaws you may have overlooked; it shows you believe in your own reasoning.
2-Shows that a solid reasoning process actually happened (good intuition is good for a detective, but by itself it proves nothing).
3-It may extract a reaction from the guilty party causing it to somehow incriminate itself even in the absence of conclusive evidence.
4-Allows others to learn, and to be impressed (or disappointed) by the means by which the result was achieved rather than just the result itself, and is it not the creativity of the method that separates the brilliant detective from the average investigator?
5-I am curious by nature, so naturally, I would like to know
Here is an additional clue:
“Always when pursuing a goal one must direct his gaze forward, towards the pursued goal without neglecting what is above, lest he leave himself open to ambush, or below lest he stumble and fall, but most importantly one must carefully discern the harmful form the harmless and the useful from the irrelevant or misleading lest he find himself lost or followed by disaster… this is why few dare towards a goal that is not closely within reach and fewer still achieve it’*
*This clue was designed to be of about medium difficulty; also it may be relevant to state at this point that at the end I will explain all the clues so I am not just spouting random nonsense to confuse people.
So… if I understand correctly the latter is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike the former in a way meant to emphasize the difference between “greed” (take) and transformation “make” while using a simple enough verbal construction that the effect is mostly subconscious unless you take the time to analyse it.
Quite a clever bit of propaganda.
