KeymasterI’ll post my report here as well as on FB:
The Mongolian Death Worm (olgoi khorkhoi)
The Mongolian Death Worm is a nasty cryptid who is reported to exist in the Gobi Desert area in southern Mongolia.
It stretches from 2 to 5 feet in length and is thick in body. Has no eyes/face, like a normal earth worm.
Burrowed beneath the arrid sands it hybernates and usually is active between the months of June and July, surfacing in wet weather.
Resembling the large intestine of a cow, dark red in color with black spots and sometimes spikes protrude from it.
The Mongolian Death Worm is believed to be able to kill instantly and from a distance, from either spraying acid at it’s victim
(which of course has corrosive properties;corroding metals) or electric discharge. This is a terrifying creature, although it sounds like it’s weakness would be a ranged weapon, if you are lucky enough to spot it before it is much too late.

ParticipantHere is my Repost from facebook-
My Fear are the Greys A Majority of the content afound in this post come from http://?www.bibliotecapleyades.net/ and the rest is either my own beliefs and knowlage of these species of from what i have read on Wikipedia. First off Im going to rationalize my fear so that you will understad why I fear the grays.
The main reason I fear these Aliens is that they have been know to preform experiments on people. That just utterly scares the livieng daylights out of me. For the pure reason I like my body the way it is and i really dont want to be straped to an examineing table and poked and proded at.
The second and final reason I fear this species is that they have come to terminate various species on earth. now here is some data i have gathered on the Greys.Their religion, as it were, is science. They appear to divide this into physical, spiritual and sociological objectives in terms of planets they invade and dominate, as they have dominated Earth for thousands of years. Their basic game appears to be to use nullification and domination to control the leaders of various targeted civilizations.
They accomplish this by taking out the leaders and replacing them with entities they can control. The big-headed Grey is the most commonly seen of the species by human beings. The evidence seems to indicate that they are subservient to the taller Greys, which seem in many cases to be monitoring what the smaller ones are doing.
The brain capacity is estimated to be between 2500 and 3500 cc, compared to 1300 cc for the average human. Due to the cloning process, the neural matter is artificially grown brain matter, and the Greys have known technology that enables them to insert memory patterns and consciousness into clones in any matter or pattern that they wish.
The large Greys use smaller cloned big-headed Greys to perform abduction and examination work. The Grey species in general is more on the order of an electronically based space society with a common social memory complex that allows them to collectively function as areas of group-mind. Groups of Greys are controlled from one central source being, usually one of the large Greys, a Blond humanoid, or other dominant species.
The Grey species can tolerate radioactivity at levels humans cannot stand. The apparent reason for this involves species exposure to a nuclear interchange in the distant past which promoted degradation of their genetic structure. This aspect is noted in terms of where the Greys frequent in the United States, especially base areas, which are near nuclear facilities, waste storage, etc. Animal mutilations are highest in these areas also. A connection? Yes.
Most atomic structure in this localized sector of the universe maintains an clockwise spin. For some reason, the Greys/EBE -

ParticipantOkay, so one of my greatest fears, despite the fact that he was supposedly created for a creepypasta, is Slenderman.
Now to rationalize.
Slenderman is this guy:
If the lack of face and spider-like proportions doesn’t freak me out enough, the endless number of tentacles sure does. Now the origins of Slenderman link to “Something Awful”, and a competition to make paranormal images, ALTHOUGH, there are other sources that link the origins to Der Gro -

Nosir… this version would not only be fair and a boatload of fun, but it would also serve as an effective training tool. After all, the Utopian Playland is worth defending- and when things go bump in the night, the PACK bumps back.

ParticipantI’m a bit late on the missions front so I’ll try to catch up:
The Nexus Crawler: While I have never faced this beast on this plane of reality, on my excursions into the relm of the Mage Ascension and the Vampire Masquerade I have come across a monster which will forever haunt my Nightmares.
The Nexus Crawler is a parasite, formed of spirits beyond the relms of time and space. Because of it’s truely alien origins, this creatures wants and strategies are insane and it chooses hosts who are of a similar mind-set. This makes the Nexus Crawlers main weapon all the more devistating and terrorfying. The Nexus Crawler can bend and reshape reality to it’s choosing.
To best explain this ability, I will give a breif account of my encounter with this monster. A companion of mine desided to investigate an insane assylum, in which he caused a huge scene using his powers over shadow. He then met a patient who broke his back and neck, extended it’s rib-cage and legs and repositioned it’s arms. The patient, who was the host of the Nexus Crawler, then began firing bursts of light made of burnt toast smell which transformed two staff members into screaming daffadils and pain. Safe to say, the entire situation went south when my companion tried to negotiate and form an alliance with it. It summoned the rest of the group and our enemy and played with us like a cat with a half dead mouse. Every attempt we made to fight or run was thwarted with minimal effort. We try and rush it, it puts us in cages. I try to run, it turns my trousers to concrete. I try to jump, I sink into the floor. So after a hair pulling hour of frustration, the nexus crawler was defeated by its own randomness.
So in conclusion: Mad God from beyond the relms of time and space. Back away slowly and don’t attract its attention. Catch it off guard and render it unconcious with a hard blow to whatever its using as a head.P.A.C.K. Hunting Lodges, complete with a large range of weapons and ranges, Libraries of reference material and at least one old man with an eyepatch, peg leg, hook hand and many stories of his monster hunting days. Oh and a bar.
As I’m an Ordained Dudeist Priest and an Engineer, I’ll take Blessed Weapons Engineer.

ParticipantDevils Lake Monster, Wisconsin Dells Area;
Some say that this octopus-like beast was responsible for an untold number of deaths, but the Nakota Indians tell a tale about a struggling creature which is uncannily similar to the allegedly extinct Plesiosaur.Located in Sauk County, Wisconsin, Devil’s Lake is an eerie, mist shrouded, body of brackish water, Carved by glaciers during the last ice age, this bluff quarantined lake could generated a deep-bone chill even if it weren’t the alleged home of a pair of vicious aquatic monsters.
Originally known to the Native American Nakota Sioux’s as “M’de Wakan” — roughly translated as “Mystery” or “bad Spirit” Lake, although some insist that it simply means “sacred” — this stretch of deep, cold, salt-infested water has been known by many names over the centuries But it wasn’t until white settlers finally claimed the land in the middle of the 1800′s that the lake finally gained its current appellation: “Devil’s Lake.” It is a name, which residents claim, the lake lives up to.
One of the earliest legends involving the creature of Devil’s Lake revolves around a Native American Indian chief who assembled an expedition of young warriors to go on a late night hunting trip on the fauna fertile lands across the lake. The full moon reflected off the night blackened waters as the young men and their leader slipped the canoe the water and began their late night trek.
Suddenly, a flurry of tentacles ripped through the surf, capsizing the canoe and pulling the thrashing, terrified men beneath the brackish water. Although no one survived this ill-fated expedition, their screams alerted fellow tribesmen, who rushed onto the beach and were able to bear witness to this horrific event in grisly detail due to the moon’s lingering glow.
The surviving warriors of the tribe, in order to pay homage to their fallen brethren — as well as appease what they believed to be the demon of the lake — held a festival every year, during which gifts and animal sacrifices were thrown into water.
The tradition continues to this day, although nowadays the annual event is treated more along the lines of an annual picnic that celebrates tribal legends and traditions.
Although most mainstream scientists agree that there is nothing in the zoological or fossil record regarding a North American FRESHWATER OCTOPI, this report does bear some striking similarities to accounts of a similar predatory beast known as the OKLAHOMA OCTOPUS as well as the Bahamas’ notorious blue hole dweller, the LUSCA.
As if a colossal octopus-like beast weren’t more than enough monster for one body of water, when the first Christian missionaries arrived on the shores of Devil’s Lake they were greeted by the Nakota tribe who told them about yet another creature that was revealed in the year of the great drought.
The Natkota’s remained near the swiftly drying lake, not only because it was the only water source for miles, but also because the animals upon which they fed were forced to expose themselves in order to drink, providing the tribe with an ample — and relatively simple to hunt — food source. As the summer progressed the lake grew smaller and smaller, until it eventually became two lakes, separated only by a shallow strip of mud, which ran through the center.
One morning the Nakota’s awoke to find what they described as a huge, fish-like creature, which they referred to as “Hokuwa,” trapped on the narrow, muddy strip of exposed lake bed.
The tribe watched as the apparently amphibious animal — which they described as having a large body, long neck and small head much like other prototypical LAKE MONSTERS such as CHAMP or the LOCH NESS MONSTER — thrashed and writhed in an effort to free itself from its drying perch for days.
The sight filled the Nakota with both awe and terror and not even the bravest warrior dared to approach the creature, which they believed it to be an Unktizina — the vile progeny of the evil spirit Unk and the lizard beast known as UNKCEGI — for fear that the spirit’s wrath would bring on even greater hardships than just the drought. Eventually the animal was able to free itself and (presumably) make its way back into the deeper portion of the lake.
For anyone who might assume that they have nothing to fear from these AQUATIC ENIGMAS while on shore, it should be noted that since the 1970s there have been reports from campers around the lake of shadowy figures that skulk around tents in the dark of night. These figures are described as large, upright and hairy, much like reports of HAIRY HOMINIDS. So it would seem that when visiting Devil’s Lake no place is truly safe.

ParticipantIn 1973 my parents took us to look at an old farm house they were looking to buy. We were there for about a half hour when I asked the realtor if she knew who the ghost was. My parents laughed and she looked very uncomfortable. Then because of disclosure laws she told us that there have been strange things but she didn’t know details. Over the years we’d seem a solid looking shadowy lumpy thing crawling through the 200 y/o oak tree, things stolen then returned years later right in the middle of a room where no one had been. lights going on in the middle of the night, guests being pinched in their sleep. always feeling like your being watched. Never anything malicious.
History of the house, it was a large part of the local underground railroad and had issues with slave hunters looking for escapee’s. The oak tree had a large limb with a big thick chain that had grown through the limb. That was an old german folk lore trick to bind bad spirits to the tree. The limb came off in the late 90’s and we haven’t seen the shadow thing since.
Any guess how I became interested in paranormal investigation? -

ParticipantHey all. I’ve had a few ghostly experiences. Let me list them:
- A group of children ghosts that roamed my apartment complex back in high school. I would frequently hear them laughing and running about. I swear they tugged on my skirts from time to time.
- A ghost lady that came into the apartment I lived in up in San Francisco two years ago. She lurked in the hallway. My roommate and I thought we saw a nun’s habit on her. So that was creepy.
- There’s been a rather benevolent ghost lady in my parents house that I have moved back in to. She likes to mess with the lights and said hi to me once. Also she makes a point to keep out other spirits for me. Which is very nice.

Hmm, my answer to this would be the Quinnipiac Trail in Connecticut (Outside Meriden, CT to be exact).
I was brought here by my partner at the time for a leisurely walk along the trail in August. We had just got out of the car and were walking across the parking lot when I looked to the trailhead and seen this dark figure…not really solid, but more like a black haze in the shape of a person. The hairs in my arms and back of my neck stood up and I heard it say, “Do not tarry, leave us in peace!”. I swear to all that is sacred, it was the most menacing feeling I have ever had thrown at me, and I told my partner a big fat, “NOPE!” on going onto the trail. We got back in the car and left. As we were pulling out of the parking lot, I turned and looked back to where the figure had been standing, it turned and walked back into the woods and disappeared.
When I got home, I did some research as to the land the Quinnipiac Trail lies on, and I found that it was some pretty sacred land to the local tribes, and there is speculation by some that the land the trail sits on outside of Meriden was part of a burial ground, but I have found no proof that concurs this concretely. Believe you me though, I will NOT be setting foot anywhere near there in this lifetime.

ParticipantPost for Operation L.E.A.R.N.
Research topic: The Ghost of Princess Angeline
Her name was said, “Kick-is-om-lo” in her native tongue of Lushootseed, she was the eldest daughter of the well known Duwamish chief Sealth (commonly known as Chief Seattle, for whom the city of Seattle gets it’s name) and his wife Ladalia. It is said she was born in 1820, but no actual records were kept to document the exact date of her birth. Not much is known about her childhood beyond her meeting Catherine Maynard who christened her with the name Angeline. In later years it is known that she did marry twice. Her first husband was Dokub Cud, a Skagit chief, and to him she bore two daughters. They were named Betsey and Mary. The second husband was Talisha, a Duwamish chief. She bore no children with Talisha however. She doesn’t seem to appear too much more in history until the time of the 1855 Treaty of Point Elliott (as well as again with other treaties such as the Treaty of Medicine Creek, Treaty of Point No Point), wherein the treaty as designed by Isaac Stevens, declared that the Duwamish (her tribe), Suquamish, Snoqualmie, Snohomish, Lummi, Skagit, and Swinomish tribes were to abandon their ancestral lands and be moved to reservations.
Angeline refused to leave her home, despite all local natives being forced to leave the town limits, and she remained living in a waterfront cabin on the exact site of what is now Pike Place Market (her cabin sat where the current store of Left Bank Books and the Pike Place Flower Shop sit). She became well known among the townspeople for her remarkable woven baskets and her laundry services despite her being forced to live in poverty. She lived there until May 31st 1896 and was later buried with full honours at Lakeside Cemetery in a canoe shaped coffin next to her only white friend Henry Yesler.
After her death people would cite seeing her walking about Pike Place Market with her cane in hand and her scarf tied over her head. These sightings have continued into present day and many locals as well as tourists have continued to claim to have seen her wandering the market or sitting on the sidewalk selling baskets.
Perhaps, if you are lucky, on a trip to Seattle’s Pike Place Market, you too may see Angeline wandering in the market.

ParticipantOkies…here is my findings after speaking with community members. (With my work schedule, finding time to talk to folks was difficult, the joys of working for the Seattle School District :( )
I took some time to wander about where sightings have been reported; both Pike Place Market and Post Alley. I had hoped for a sighting myself, sadly I was not fortunate in that endeavor.
A few of the people I spoke with about Angeline (employees at Tenzing Momo and Left Bank Books, which are within the Pike Place Market) said that they had heard of sightings but had never witnessed her; although the staff at Tenzing Mom said they believed she did exist. So, through studying her history and the legend, as well as my own ventures hoping to see her and speaking with people who work at Pike Place; I conclude that in my opinion, Angeline is very much still present, however I was not so lucky as to have seen her to date. :(

ParticipantHi Jon,
you may have realized by now that I am not the most tech savvy person in the world, so recording a ghost with specialized equipment is probably not a task I should attempt. You did mention the possibility of reporting on ghosts in the area I live in or my own home. I have not had a chance to explore possible hauntings in the area, but I thought I could tell you about the occurrences in my own home and let you make up your own mind. Perhaps you could give me some pointers.
I moved to the house I live in in the fall of 1992. The home was built in 1916 by the Bennett family, who were among the early settlers in the Chehalis valley. It was then a farm house, was added to when the family needed to expand, and has changed hands numerous times until I purchased it.
A number of repairs were necessary before my future husband and I could move in and a friend of ours, who was a carpenter, helped us on the weekends to get the house ready. One evening this friend was working in the kitchen, he came outside and asked us who was playing flute. Neither my (now ex-husband) nor I play any instrument at all or had heard a thing, so we put it down to funny acoustics in this valley.
After we moved in I was alone at home on an evening. I had become dark outside, and I was in the living room, sitting in an arm chair and reading, when the door from the living room started creaking open and shut repeatedly. This was a bit startling since the actual door had been removed long before we ever moved in and only the doorframe remained. I should mention that I did not have any sensation of cold or fear, it was simply a rather curious thing to happen.
A while later I was coming down the stairs on Sunday morning and heard my husband in the kitchen at the other end of the house ask me if I wanted coffee. When entered the kitchen my husband was standing at the counter, a coffee mug in his hand and a rather perplexed look on his face. He told me he had heard me walk by him in the kitchen when his back was turned and asked me if I wanted coffee, but when he turned around I was not there.
On another evening I was in the bath room when I heard the back door that leads into the kitchen open and footsteps coming through the kitchen and into the living room, stopping by the wood stove. The steps sounded like those of a tired man in heavy work boots and I assumed that it was my husband home from work. I called out his name several times and receiving no answer I became worried about an intruder. I armed myself with the only thing on hand – a pair of nail scissors, and went to confront whoever had entered my home. Nobody was there, and after searching every room in the house, including closets, I found nothing that could have caused the noises.
I am sure you are familiar with the sensation of a person in the same room with you even if you can not see them. This is a sensation I am quite familiar with now, because ever since I moved into this house someone has been reading my correspondence along with me over my shoulder, standing quite close to me. When I turn around there is never anybody there.
Friends and visitors have heard people that don’t exist hove around the house, and it seems that footsteps are most often heard in the upstairs hall and in the kitchen downstairs. Everyone’s walk is distinctive of course, and it seems to me that I can distinguish the steps of an older couple and a middle aged man. These sounds never make me feel fearful, they simply seem like the familiar sounds of people I share my home with, though nobody has ever mentioned seeing a ghost here, and there were never any incidents but one in which anybody was threatened, though one friend is reluctant to enter the downstairs bedroom. She said the room makes her feel anxious.
The threatening incident I mentioned happened one morning as my husband was getting up. Someone gave him a sharp rap on the back of his head. Assuming it was me he started yelling, and I woke up. My arms are not nearly long enough to hit him on the head from my side of the bed while he is standing up next to it on the other side.
I don’t know if such happenings can be ascribed to a ghost, since nobody has ever mentioned seeing an apparition, but even people who know nothing of our past experiences in this house say they hear odd things in it. Perhaps you can make a diagnosis from what I have reported to you and make some recommendations for documenting this.
(Oh, and does this work as a project for a badge?)
Thank you,
Ulrike

Thank you,
Ulrike
Hello everyone,
I wanted to add an update with the latest occurrence in my home. I have a motion detector light in the upstais hall leading to my bedroom. At 04:20 last night I was awake in bed, and the light came on in the hall. There was nobody in the hall to trigger the motion sensor. And no, I don’t have mice or any other vermin. Is this normal?

indeed ultra low sound can cause hallucinations and feelings of dread or fear, for a few haunted areas this effect has been proven to be the most likely explanation of hauntings.
