If you have an interesting idea    WRITE IT DOWN immediately              if you don’t it will either be lost forever or it will prevent others from surfacing and sometimes both these things will happen and you will have lost a chance the universe had given you to be remembered, and perhaps to make a difference.

Even if the idea you have seems stupid you should remember that ideas are like children,  while they may be born weak and impractical, each of them has the potential to grow into something that will move the world.

Struggling with writers block but have ideas for other stories? Start work on them and once you’re done then you can return to your original project with a fresh mind. If you don’t have other story ideas then just taking a few days away from writing can help.

So something that I have always had difficulty with is writing combat scenes and I don’t imagine I’m the only one who does.

That being said, I had found a rather good website for writing in general.  Here’s a link to their page about writing combat in particular.

I’m wondering if I’m getting too attached to minor characters when doing character development. I have no idea if I’m going to follow up on this plot hook, yet this character has a backstory already. It may help with making them dimensional, but is it too much work?

Only if it is getting in the way of you actually progressing with your story. I write dossiers on all my characters (of varying depth) as it helps me to keep their motivations and actions consistent.

Ever wanted to know how much it costs to have a hit done? Want to know where the best price is for an assault rifle? How about the going rate for Kidneys? Don’t want to wind up on some FBI list?
