Our Mission as Toy Soldiers

With this post I hope to clarify for many soldiers, weather you are older or newer about the direction the army is headed. Our potential, our dreams, and our United vision.
Although this is a large post and a lot to read. I would appreciate everyone reading it and passing it on to others as an explanation for things. I’m sure we can all think up ways to sum this up eventually but for now..grab a cupcake and some coffee/tea and lets talk!
“United we stand, divided we fall.” This saying has been with us for generations. I believe now is the time that our world needs unity more than anything. Only when we unite in spirit, can we truly cope with the challenges we face. Anyone can organize a war, it’s not hard to do..but to organize peace is something very few have mastered…Except us! I think with all of us together we have and will make one heck of a difference in this world!
There cannot be peace without order. If you choose an act of violence against the system all they are going to do is look at you and pick apart what is wrong with you. If you make your statements clear and do it in an orderly fashion..people will step back and look at the system. We are now and have always been a peaceful organization. I think we should always keep our focus on that.
What we need to do now is continue doing the same things we have been doing, the events, gatherings, making new friends, etc…and tell everyone we know who is all for equality and unity of mankind to join us..no matter race, religion, orientation, geographic location..anyone! Then they tell people and so on… Imagine all we have, can, and will achieve by this. We already have a large number of soldiers who are wanting to continue spreading the word of fun to everyone. If we get more people in more countries and continue to grow, there is no stopping us, we can be our own United Nations..united in peace, fun and happiness!
I know a lot of you are thinking this sounds like a hippie type movement.. What we are are soldiers of fun with awesome uniforms! We are artists, geeks, nerds, creators and some of us down right geniuses! We are making over the world, manifesting our own realities and we will show them the unity that we can achieve! We can help mold the minds of the youth so the generations to come understand that people no matter who they are can find peace, get along and have fun together! Let us now strengthen our network and keep moving forward!
This isn’t something that will happen over night..but look at what we have accomplished so far, and the community we have created, just because we all had a common interest. No matter what brought you here in the first place. We all need the brotherhood, the camaraderie, the family, anything to kill the lonesomeness and distance we feel between us sometimes as humans…and we all feel it. It’s only through love, friendship and understanding that we can destroy this disease of the mind that is killing our lust for life.
What are you gonna get out of it?
Think about the last time you set forth a goal and how you felt when you achieved it, or the last time you helped out a friend. Well that is what life is..a series of goals and achievements. It’s what propels us to live. Without accomplishment we sink into the lows of life..a very hard place to come back from. Eventually we even drag down others so we don’t feel so alone. We can’t keep letting the world fall into this trap. We must show everyone that despite bad things happening in our lives and the world, that life does go on and it can again be full of fun and happiness! We can learn and teach others to love their fellow humans again! Something I think our media and world is trying to keep us from. They make us so paranoid that someone is out to get us, even them, that we can’t grow strong bonds for fear of rejection and persecution. Well I think that is exactly where these world powers want us to be. They want us to be bitter and hate each other for our differences..they ram it down our throats and they control us with it. They force us into apathy. This way they can continue their wars of the world and get us to back them up on it. This is the way they stimulate the economy and make money. Peace doesn’t sell, it’s free. And It’s harder to get a message across to someone when you don’t have anger and an enemy to band against.
Oh but..we do! Our common enemies are; anger, apathy, hate, boredom, insecurity, paranoia, anxiety, prejudice, etc.. all those emotions that scare us, tear us apart and keep us from being together.We all want to create things and make something others can share. I urge you to please help in creating new propaganda. If you are not an artist or writer per say, you still may have some great ideas, so please share them with us, get a hold of someone who does and see if you both can come up with something together. All of us can come up with ideas and create something. Don’t feel intimidated or unworthy of your work. Post what you like and don’t hold back. We are not here to judge your skills or tell you it’s not good work. If nothing else we can help each other by assisting in refining the pieces you create so that they look more professional if you would like because, not everyone has access to programs to make these things. Also if you see someones work and you like it please post in the thread so they can have feed back on it. Some of us work a long time on things and it’s nice to hear

Just took the gist of what you said and condensed it down to something easier to read. Think of it as a “perfect manifesto” so while it doesn’t deal in specifics it lets an outside agency, i.e. News companies, get a general and positive idea of what we’re about.

While we might have briefly stumbled in the past we will continue to work and build towards that dream, by expanding and including people of all walks of life there will be no stopping the creation of our dream.

An army coming together for fun and friendship. What is there to say about that but that it’s WINNING! I have really enjoyed my time here on TSU, making friends and having a heck of a time! I am most certainly not going anywhere anytime soon! I hope to see you all around! *salutes

To build more community spirit, as well as celebrate Dr. Steel and his contribution to us, I have started a new community project.
This forum bought a new Dr. Steel song to my attention. What is possibly the very last song he wrote. It was written for us. A song called ‘Toy Soldier March.’

Very well written post! Yours are the words I live by daily. Without a driving force of peace in the world, I feel it is doomed. I found myself falling into a world of resentment and anger, which would have led me down a darker path. Being a Soldier helped me to realize that it is up to me and my actions that will make the world better around me. That is why I strive to bring smiles to friends’ faces. I gotta say- there is NO better feeling than the one you feel when you KNOW you have made someone happy.
We ALL should make this our goal, and live by it. (IMHO)

I concur! It’s nice to hear such a revolt against the bad feelings society has created. I must admit, I was pretty downcast when I head about Dr. Steel’s retirement but your forum brought me back up! I’m not the same person I used to be. I miss my old self severely in a way. She was the kind of person who used to do things on a whim and wasn’t subject to the fear of her fellow man. Then she grew up and learned more about the world.
It’s hard… I’ll say that. But that doesn’t mean we have to neglect our childish whimsey or our desire to stand out using wonder and magic as our guide!
I’m going to keep the wisdom and experiences I’ve earned throughout the years in the forefront of my mind but I’m going to let my light-hearted and puerile tendencies sally forth in wanton splendor as they used to (In a good way of course, I won’t be throwing temper tantrums or anything.)
Henceforth!
I shall start doing things my younger self would be proud of.

Normally I tend to stay away from negative posts especially since I started this thread with such a positive one. But I feel at this point, I do have to state something…I will make it short.
If you are against gay people/people of a different race/people of a different religion or lack there of. Spreading your hate and forcing your opinion on others..Then you are in the wrong place! Big Time!
We are the people who accept everyone and don’t discriminate. We are changing the world for the better and recruiting people who want the same Utopian Playland! We want World peace and Unity for ALL!
So if you are not down with that…then hit the road chump!:cool:

Safe to say that I will also not be going anywhere and will become a loyal Toy Soldier. I also want to thank you for your later comment to this post. I am also Gay and proud to be so. Wow is it good to be back! I fell out of going on a while ago, just as 10th grade started. I was VERY young so I only ever on as a guest (I did not understand a lot of the website back then) and since I could only go on as a guest, I left the website behind. I joined again (Sorry kiddies, guess its story time!) because I found my old Doctor Steel Army of Toy Soldiers belt buckel, and as I held the big circular belt buckel, I looked at the docs angry face and remebered how I always wanted to actually join and be part of this awesome group. I remebered all three episodes of The Doctor Steel Show (especially Hamster #65), the music, the creativty, the happiness, and how it helped me get through some of the toughest times ever. So I got up, grabed a notebook, and went to the website to join. As I joined, I wrote down important things and got started on my uniform(will post pics as soon as it is done). I am now with 60 Army Of Toy Soldiers Manifesto’s, printed off, folded and ready to go. I have been handing them out on campus and posting some of the 120 leaflets around all over at my favorite places where I know people will look at them and join. I just recently got my brother (Uncle_Scruffy) to join. I will post a full Report soon CommanderJET. I look forward towards the future as a Toy Soldier and cannot wait to help tak….. er… I mean MAKE over the world. *salutes*

I, Granny Grunt, have requested an airship docking for the Army of Toy Soldiers and for the Orphanage of Fun Division at the Big River Steampunk Festival. Of course, we will have Toy Soldier Scout Cookies, with a few mind control ones tossed in, as the treats we will be serving. Come and invade with us in Hannibal Missouri in September.
