Mission Report: Rock and Shock 2013

The Rock and Shock Report is in!

Oct 19, 2013 I attended the 10th anniversary of the Rock and Shock horror and music convention. As always it was an amazing time! This year Rock and Shock had it’s 10th birthday, and they really upped it! Not only was the Celeb Room really good this year but there band new area to the con as well. There was Creative Lair room where seminars ranged from pumpkin carving, to special-effects makeup, and online media production. A big hit was the addition of a gaming area. They had consuls(nes-snes-64-360) set up for free play and special tournaments running all day. I entered the Super Mario Speed Run. You where given 3 lives only, extra lives didn’t count. I came in the top 10, I couldn’t beat it within the 3 life rule but made it to world 8-2 in 13:42. The panel’s I attended great! I’m not even supposed to be here today, Jason Mewes and Brain O’Halloran. 40 years of our worst nightmares, Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Gunnar Hanson, and Tony Moran. This year was also a lot of fun because of all my film friends where there as well promoting all there projects and work. A mark artist friend Julie LeShane did a amazing weird makeup for free on me! Overall another amazing year and I can’t wait till next year!
