First, we’d like to apologise for the lateness of this post. This was due to some unforeseen circumstances.
But here is the Mission Report for the TSU-UK camping trip which took place two weeks ago, submitted by Lillium:
Other than the miserable English weather, the first British Camp Out was a great success. Thursday, we all met at the Bell Inn at Wantage for a drink before getting supplies from Sainsburys and jumping into taxis to the Britchcombe Farm camp site. After pitching our tents, we got a camp fire started and Grimm and I cooked pork sausage in tomatoe sauce with pasta and spinach that I'd grown in my garden at home. We had NERF gun fights and Sniper entertained us (drove us to madness) with drinking songs. On Friday, we woke up to beautiful weather and had a bacon and egg breakfast. At about noon, half the group decided to hike 4 miles to Wantage to pick up Iron and gather more supplies. Those that stayed learnt how to make survival bracelets, cooked burgers for lunch and played frisbee in the muddy field. When the other half got back, Chrysalice filmed scenes for the Toy Soldier movie. For dinner, Sniper and Iron cooked a delicious stew and entertained us with more songs. Saturday morning, after bacon breakfast, Maddy and I sadly had to leave. I hope everyone who came camping had a great weekend and I'm hoping that we can do it again next year. I'd like to give a special thanks to Grimm, Iron, SilentAddie and Sniper, who's help was greatly appreciated and made the trip a success.
