Vaudevillian Soldiers Inspire!

We’ve always loved music videos here at TSU.
We love them even more when they feature Toy Soldiers.
But when a Toy Soldier is not only the lead singer, and the band play a song dedicated to reaching a Utopian Playland, then we go absolutely crazy nuts for it!

That’s exactly what TS Zilpher MercuriusDrax achieved together with his band The Marquis of Vaudeville. The name itself inspires fantastical images of a time long gone.
They performed their song “Utopian Playland” Live at the Curtain Club in Dallas, Texas, to a packed steampunk crowd during a mini-con titled “A Clockwork Wonderland: Through Aether & Mysterium”. The music video features beautiful performances from fire dancers and steampunks, and of course the band themselves.

“With each of our songs we compose, live events we produce, and everything else we do, it all revolves around creating an imaginative escape for the dreamers of the world. Our wishes and ambitions are quite close to that of Dr. Steel so of course this song specifically was inspired by his intriguing story and his quest for world domination. The lyrics begin relaying his journey with the audacious betrayal of the toy company where he was employed and then progress with his spiraling into the maniacal genius driven to dominate the world with the ultimate promise of fun, and of course dangerous toys.” – TS Zilpher

Check them out here, here and here!

And without further ado, here’s the video itself!
