Steelsgiving

0 13 years ago

On a snowy night in January, folks gathered in Massachusetts for the second annual Steelsgiving, a formal, familial dinner for Toy Soldiers. Based off of the American holiday of Thanksgiving, the potluck-style meal was hosted by Corporal AJ Watts, who also housed a soldier for the occasion and opened his kitchen to attendees in need of a place to cook.

The dinner included such delights as robot-head cookies, stuffed mushrooms, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and punch. Of course, the dinner wouldn’t have been complete without a homemade turkey, courtesy of Captain Jack YJ. The delectable dinner was followed by a rousing game of Super Munchkin and other fun activities.

The event was simple but special with attendees from the top to the bottom of the U.S. east coast. Steelsgiving is a great example of how active Toy Soldiers can become so close that they are just like family.
