Global Invasion: Toronto Zoo!

Do you like supporting Global Invasion Day, wild animals (especially monkeys), and Dr. Steel? Then Division #315, Dr. Steel's Own Robot Monkeys invasion of the Toronto Zoo on August 15th is the place for you!

Zoo-za-pa-looza will be in full swing throughout the invasion, in honor of the zoo’s 35th anniversary, so bring as much propaganda and mind control cookies as you can carry and inject a healthy dose of Steel into the zoo’s "free" (you still need to purchase regular $21.00 zoo admission) entertainment venues at the Waterside Theatre between 1:00pm and 6:00pm!

Toy Soldiers will group outside of the main gates at 10:00am. If 20 or more soldiers participate, you can get a 15% discount on your admission fee! At 10:30am, soldiers will have to heed one of Canker’s greatest desires and head to the Canadian Domain so that he can get his picture taken with a moose! Enlist the moose into the Army for super mega bonus points!

Soldiers will grab lunch around 12:30pm, and then be located in and around the Zoo-za-pa-looza event for the remainder of the day. Share your photos, videos, and stories from the day while satisfying the appetite you worked up form all of that Utopian Playland construction with dinner at Kelsey’s!

As an added bonus, Canker and 2x2 are offering t-shirts to mark the event! If you are interested, please send an email to mel@geek2chic.ca with your preferred size. You will receive your shirt at the invasion, but orders must be placed and paid in full by August 1st! Shirts are $20 (sizes S to XL) or $22 (sizes XXL - 5XL) and are white Gildan, 100% pre-shrunk cotton. Payment may be made through PayPal.

Please note that the zoo charges an $8.00 parking fee per vehicle, so car pool or use public transit if you can!

If you cannot make the meet-up time, or are otherwise held up, Canker will have his cell phone with him and will share his number with those attending as the invasion date gets closer. For directions,
