It is official - the invasion of Steamcon 2009 was a grand success! Toy Soliders infiltrated the convention and were quick to assimilate the mirade of explorers, tinkerers, adventurers, mad scientists, airship pirates, and more who attended the convention! Toy Soldiers were fitted with their best Steel- and steam-inspired livery and were quicken to enlighten the 19th century masses about our beloved doctor and his delightful plans for world domination!
Attending Soldiers used every avenue and venue available for brainwashing, such as a vendor’s bazaar, art exhibition, perpetual teatime and hospitality suite, The Magic Lantern Theater, gun modification demonstrations, steam technology exhibitions, cabaret acts, roleplaying, lessons in etiquette, and talks and discussions on all things steampunk! A group of Toy Soldiers, lead by Sir Roman, also worked the hospitality/green room and they did so well that they received only two complaints during the entire event and were promptly fire afterwards (because the con wants "bigger" names...as if Dr. Steel and TSU were not huge already!).
Sgt. Brain's clockwork wings demanded the attention of every passerby, and Toy Soldiers were frequent subjects of photoshoots and questions about our quest to make over the world. In the end, much enjoyment was had by all and anticipation of next year's event is already growing!
