Operation: Surf's Up a Success

On August 15th, Lt. Scout Janey Blaze lead the charge at the Surf's Up Invasion (part of Global Invasion Day 2009) of Venice and Santa Monica Beaches! The invasion has been toted by those in attendance as an epic success filled with fun, sun, sand, and free mind control cupcakes!

Some of the memorable moments recounted by the 18 dedicated Soldiers who attended were the epic amounts of mind control bubbles floating in droves across the beach, the juggler, the hungry homeless man that passed up a mind control cupcake (and you thought Dr. Steel was crazy!), the "are you/Dr. Steel a vampire?" guy, chasing birds, Mr. American Speedo Claw and his metal ball of wonders (do you really want to know more?), unintelligible shopping cart hippie dude, tongue whistle bird man, brainwashing the art parade into chanting "Dr. Steel," Ophie's cupcakes, aluminum foil deadhead guy, the RV fortress, distributing a truckload of propaganda, having enormous quantities of fun (and frosting!), and the utopian cuddle pile!
