The entity that calls itself the Kraken (it's peers call it Sean) was born many winters ago, in the land of England. Back then, the world was a completely different place; The USSR had just collapsed, leaving the USA as the dominant world power, and the internet we know today was but a pipe dream, having only just gained a public face, so to speak. Over the years, Kraken grew larger and stronger, and soon found itself curious as to the workings of the outside world. It chose to explore it's surroundings, and within months found them to be dreary and saddening. Still, it continued it's search, for it reasoned that there must be something fun to do in the world. It discovered many pastimes to amuse it; wargames, roleplaying, literature and film to name but a few. For a while it was content, having found things it liked to do. Life was pretty good.
Then, one fateful summer's day, whilst preparing for a Dungeons and Dragons session with its friends, it discovered Doctor Steel. Or rather, one of its friends showed it the website and helped it sign up. He knows who he is.
The Kraken had found another excellent thing to spend its time on, and soon it was utterly devoted to the cause. After all, it thought, what is the point of having fun if nobody else can enjoy it?
And so it was that Comrade Von Kraken became a Toy Soldier, ready to build a Utopian Playland for all.
It apologises for the cheesy backstory and constant use of third person.
