Bio

Dr. Steel established The Army of Toy Soldiers in the year 2004. Since then, our “army of fun” has grown to span the globe, embracing all people regardless of age or gender.

It was in Dr. Steel’s vision that The Toy Soldiers have empowered ourselves through play. He has taught us that creativity is not a trifle activity but an integral part of existence.

Dr. Steel’s creativity inspired us all. He was an artist, a designer, musician, performer, author and motivational speaker. To wrap him up in a nutshell is very difficult to do, as his talents were many.

In showcasing his wide range of talents, he inspired us all to celebrate our own imaginations. Dr. Steel’s vision of a Utopian Playland is one hinged on this celebration of imagination.

As Toy Soldiers, we actively pursue our creative passions and spread the word of his vision. We share his creativity with others and follow in his footsteps to manifest creative ideas while encouraging the talents of the young and old.

Thanks to Dr. Steel we have found a home, we have made friends and we are making the world a better place.

Music, Movies and Madness

One of Dr. Steel’s many talents was that of creating a unique style of music. Often termed “Industrial Hip-Hop Opera”, his audio experimentation was as varied as the subjects he sings about. From conspiracy theories to fairy tales, Dr. Steel has woven a musical tapestry that is both entertaining and educational.

Always interested in film making, Dr. Steel has self produced a series of video productions. From writing, designing, directing, editing and starring in these productions you can see a variety of his work.

Dr. Steel’s vision clearly manifests through visual mediums. Be it through his propaganda illustrations for The Army of Toy Soldiers, the aesthetic design of the Doctor Steel website, his wardrobe and Toy Soldier uniform designs and of course his imaginative toys, he continually showcases his wide range of incredible talents!

Retirement

Dr. Steel’s last known message to the Toy Soldiers was the 1st of August 2010, announcing his work on a new album and propaganda. Since then however, no further communication has been received. Though he was known for periods of being quiet and shut in his laboratory, Dr. Steel always responded to emails.

This time however, there were no replies, and soon, emails were bounced back without response.

After a year of not hearing from the Doctor, Commander Jet, administrator of Toy Soldiers Unite, had to make the sad announcement of Dr. Steel’s retirement.
In January 2012, after many months of unanswered questions about his silent withdrawal from the world, Dr. Steel sent a letter to Commander JET, confirming his retirement with the reasons of being blacklisted, financial turmoil, and his creativeness blocked by others.

Although this was a shock to many, Dr. Steel has been campaigning and fighting for World Domination for a good 12 years. The Army of Toy Soldiers will now continue this battle of spreading the message of ‘Making Fun The Top Priority’, even without the man who started it all.

And make no mistake. The Army continues to grow!
